A house of considered design

SOVA had spent a decade developing and building luxury houses and duplexes across Sydney’s most affluent suburbs without a name to carry it. Operating as both developer and builder, the business kept full control of every project from acquisition to handover, but the brand behind that discipline didn’t exist yet.

The brief called for restraint over promotion, architectural thinking over decoration, a brand that could sit beside big competitors without needing to shout. The landing page had one job above all else, to read as a credibility piece for buyers and the architects and designers SOVA partners with.

We built SOVA as a refined, editorial identity, understated luxury held together by a muted, tonal palette and custom serif typography. The monogram, a refined S within a geometric shape, anchors the system, timeless enough to carry the name for the next ten years as it did the last.

That same discipline extends across SOVA’s projects, each with its own identity built from the parent brand’s logic. Ecru leans gallery-like and earthy, Alder sharper and architectural, Clare elevated and landscape-led, three distinct expressions of one considered house.
Across name development, brand suite and landing page, SOVA now carries the confidence of ten years’ work, a family of projects each considered enough to stand as landmarks in their own right.

SOVA turns a decade of quiet, considered work into a brand with the confidence to stand alongside the architecture itself, giving one disciplined design language to a growing family of distinct projects.

Clare

Clare’s palette is drawn directly from its setting: pearl white set against layered greens and deep evergreen. An elegant serif typeface lends the brand warmth and expression, tempered by the discipline of curved forms and arch motifs, the same considered hand behind SOVA now applied to its most landscape-led project. At its centre sits a C monogram held within a double arch, a graphic reference to the property’s defining architectural gesture.

Alder

Alder’s identity is defined by proportion and structural clarity, another expression of the logic SOVA established at the parent level. The same warm, earthy palette, cream, linen, umber and dark bronze, is arranged with a more rigorous geometry, giving the brand an architectural bearing. Minimal typography and generous white space let the material photography carry the identity’s authority.

ECRU

Ecru’s identity is built on material honesty and restraint, carrying forward SOVA’s discipline. Cream, linen and deep umber, grounded by dark bronze, form a palette favouring tonal depth over embellishment. The wordmark’s geometric extended sans serif carries a single considered flourish, a curved E that mirrors the C beside it, legible only on close inspection.
